Sandy, I haven’t read The Night Watch yet. I’m going to have to pick it up soon. I’m sure you don’t need to worry about them getting it right – all her others have been adapted beautifully so far. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for the link about writing in the internet age. The article raises a very interesting point (but is far too long for the internet in my opinion). I admit that I tend to cheat a bit when I write cosy mysteries by having village constables pedalling around in the country side. Still, I donยดt believe for one moment that readers of that particular genre want murders solved via satellite & advanced forensics. So the setting, sub-genre and the level of technology must go together.

Dorte, I am sometimes frustrated that murders aren’t solved by checking the Internet. I’m guessing that cozy mysteries will increasingly become pieces of historical fiction, but I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing.

I love the story about the library with empty shelves. What a way for a community to show their support! That’s awesome, and I really hope it has the desired results.

I look forward to reading the book about Chinese mothers/parents. I grew up in a neighbourhood that was about 70% Chinese and saw firsthand exactly what she was talking about and the results that come from it.

And the empty bookshelves in the library is pretty cool!

I love the story of the town that checked out all of the books in their library so it wouldn’t be shut down. Well done!
