February Summary

I equaled my January total by reading 11 books this month. They were a very mixed bag. My favourite by quite a long way was The Hunger Games. I’m sure this will be in my top 5 for the year (although if I manage read lots of  books better than this I will be VERY happy!

I also recommend The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher. These two books couldn’t be more different, and it just shows that it doesn’t really matter what the book is about – it is the quality of the writing that makes a good book into a great one.

I hope that you read some great books in February. Let me know what your favourite has been, as my wish list can never be too long!

I lament at the lameness of my list…good books, but not very many of them. I need to start reading shorter books! 33 disc audio books do consume one’s life! Speaking of which…I was aghast at your comment that Outlander had been condensed into 8? discs. The unabridged version was 26 or 28. Gabaldon is quite the master of detail, but still! I would be very afraid! You made a wise choice to go with the book!

Beth – For some reason I thought it was March today! Nevermind, I’m not going to get another book finished this month.

Sandy – Outlander was on only 6 discs! I know I’ve been saying it for a while, but I really am going to read it soon!

I’m really looking forward to reading Half of a Yellow Sun, as I loved Purple Hibiscus, I’ve been saving it, as I know I’ll really enjoy it.

My favourites this month were Fingersmith by Sarah Waters, What I Loved by Siri Hustvedt and Regeneration by Pat Barker! Also, I’m really loving my current book, American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
